1. To show freight charges on the bill of lading

2. Telex release bill of lading is not accepted by Brazil customs clearance

    AWAY bills of lading, telex release bills of lading, Duy bills of lading, negotiable bills of lading (to order) are not accepted. When the goods exported from China to Brazil are cleared in Brazil, the original bill of lading can only be cleared, and the Brazilian customs does not accept other forms of bill of lading. Telex release of bills of lading is considered tax evasion by Brazilian customs. In addition, almost all shipping in South America is prohibited from telex release.

3. Pay attention to the bill of lading filling

(1) Ensure that the container number and seal number are accurate
(2) Weight can only be correctly displayed in meters
(3) The description of the goods should correctly reflect the goods contained in the container (including the number of pieces/packages).
(4) The company information on the bill of lading is true and complete
(5) The address of the consignee/notifier must be in Brazil and no consignee outside Brazil is accepted.
(6) The goods description is not allowed to fill in the value statement

4. CNJP/CPF/NCM shown on the bill of lading

    Brazilian Customs clearance requires the display of CNJP/CPF/NCM on the bill of lading. CNPJ and CPF are the identification numbers of Brazilian companies and individuals, i.e. the tax number; NCM, which is the cargo identification number, equivalent to the HS code in our country, must be displayed on the bill of lading. NCM (Harmonised cargo code) number, at least the first four digits must be filled in (FAK and GD are not allowed to be used as cargo description).

    Some shipping companies will provide NOR container (cold dry container) service, although NOR container in the sea freight will be relatively cheap, but in the destination port of freezers free period will be much shorter than ordinary container, shipping companies generally do not accept freezers free period application; In addition, the demurrage charge for freezers in Brazil is much higher than that for ordinary container. Taking CS Shipping Company as an example, freezers generally have only 4 days free time in Brazil, while demurrage is as high as USD170-260 per day.

The process of customs clearance

1. 48 hours before the cargo arrives at the port, the agent needs to enter the basic information of the cargo (information on MBL, HBL) into the Brazilian Customs Information System (SISCARGA). It should be noted that if the cargo is to SANTOS, but the first port of call of the ship is RIO DE JANEIRO, then the agent needs to enter the information 48 hours before the cargo arrives at RIO DE JANEIRO. 
 
2、After the goods arrive at the port, TERMINAL staff will notify the agent that the goods have arrived at the port, and at the same time compare the information of the goods on the system of the shipping company (information on MBL), if the information of SISCARGA that we have entered is not in accordance with the information, we need to pay USD2,800 to make changes!   
 
3, if the information is correct, TERMINAL will send LIBERATION NO. to CUSTOM BROKER, for IMPORT DECLARATION ( PAY TAX ).
 
4, tax (tax rate according to the goods of the NCM NO. (customs code) query).     

5. After paying all the taxes, go to SISCOMEX (Brazilian Customs Clearance System) to apply for D.I NO. (DECLERAÇÃO DEIMPORTAÇÃO) with the proof of payment.
 
6. Check the customs clearance channel according to the D.I NO.
