Weaknesses of FBA
1, the comprehensive cost is high.
Compared with all the related costs of self-delivery, FBA costs will be higher. Because you need to pay for a series of related expenses such as Amazon logistics warehousing.
2. Poor flexibility.
a, the seller can't contact customer service anytime. For example, if you have an abnormal account problem, you can't find customer service to help you solve the problem at the first time. Only by email and leave your phone number, waiting for customer service to find you, in a very passive state.
b, the customer service of Amazon China is not professional enough. Even some small problems can not provide a solution, call the United States customer service can solve the problem in an instant.
c, Refunds and returns are too casual. When there is a problem or dissatisfaction with the product purchased by customers, they can apply for a refund at any time.
3. Label problems affect delivery.
As we all know, shipping to FBA requires product labeling. The error or damage of a product label will affect your normal operation and the product cannot be stored in the warehouse.
4, return address only support the United States.
Assuming that the customer returns the goods, it can only be returned to the US address or overseas warehouse, and then returned to the country through a third party, the freight cost is too high, and Amazon staff needs to pay for destruction.
Precautions for using FBA
Although I know the benefits of FBA, I decided to ship to the Amazon warehouse, but the seller should pay attention to the following points:
1. The seller first converts the transportation mode of the listing that needs to send FBA in the background.
2, the customs and customs clearance documents before delivery: goods name, customs code, commodity material use, goods pictures, etc., due to the requirements of the United States Department of Commerce, all goods imported to the United States must have the origin mark!! (Made in China)
3. Product weight and package size. It is necessary to fill in the weight and package size of the product accurately, because this factor will affect the subsequent FBA cost. If the discrepancy is too large, the FBA warehouse will be re-calculated. However, if you write the weight and package size of the product too large, the FBA warehouse may not change the accounting, so the seller will bear more costs.
4. Product label and outer box label. It is recommended to use a laser printer to print the label, and pay attention to the label and the actual item.
5. Track the quantity of storage. You need to make sure that the quantity in the warehouse is the same as the outgoing quantity.
6. Bar code. It is also mentioned above that damaged bar codes directly affect the storage of your products.
7. Packing requirements. Amazon has its own packing standards, and if they exceed them, they are likely to be returned to the country.
FBA box requirements
1. A box containing multiple standard size items shall not exceed 25 inches in length on any side.
2, the weight of each box shall not exceed 50 pounds, except for a single piece of heavy goods weighing more than 50 pounds
3, for a single large item weighing more than 50 pounds, the top and sides of the box must be labeled: TEAM LIFT; For large items weighing more than 100 pounds per single item, the top and sides of the case must be labeled: MECH LIFT
4. Cases containing jewelry or clocks must not exceed 40 pounds.
5, select "original packaging" delivery, the number of products per box shall not exceed 150; Original packaging refers to a single product, the same model, the same color.
6. Be sure to remove previous labels and marks when re-using previous shipping boxes. So as not to affect the storage, causing their own losses.
