Zhongyuan Sea Control MEX6 route upgrade!
Recently, the direct route MEX6 between Hainan Yangpu Port and ABU Dhabi sister port in the United Arab Emirates has added new capacity. The "Jinxingyuan" round was officially launched, and the "New Haikou" round jointly helped accelerate the construction of the China-Arab Channel and smooth the logistics "loops" of the "Belt and Road".
In the first half of 2024, COSCO Sea Control opened the direct route MEX from Hainan to the Middle East, promoting the formation of a route network of sister hub ports from Yangpu to ABU Dhabi under the "Belt and Road" initiative, and interconnecting with Beiwan Port in Guangxi, accelerating the efficiency of trade between China's western region and overseas. Yangpu Port plays an important fulcrum role as a regional container hub port.
After the upgrade of the MEX6 route, bi-weekly service will be implemented from April 2025.

The goods flowing to the Middle East in Hainan can be directly to the sea in Yangpu, and the goods in the surrounding areas such as the Beibu Gulf and the Greater Bay Area can be transferred in Yangpu, which will help accelerate the development of trade between Hainan and the surrounding areas and the Middle East.
In the future, with the realization of the biweekly operation and the joining of the "Jinxingyuan" ship, it will effectively enhance the container transport capacity between the sister ports, improve logistics efficiency, inject new impetus into the trade between China and Arab countries, and open up broader prospects for regional economic development and international cooperation.
